halewoodplumbing.co.uk

A design concept for a fictional business. Halewood Plumbing & Heating is not a real company and this is not a paying client project.

The brief

What this business actually needs from a website.

  • Most visitors arrive with a problem happening right now — a leak, no hot water, a broken boiler.
  • They are usually on a phone, often in a hurry, and comparing two or three local firms at once.
  • The site has to answer three questions fast: do you cover me, can you come today, and what will it cost?

Design decisions

01

The phone number never leaves the screen

A sticky call bar on mobile and a permanent number in the header. For an emergency trade, a tap-to-call button is the conversion.

02

Reassurance above the fold

Gas Safe registration, insurance, no call-out fee and fixed pricing sit right under the headline — the objections people have before they dial.

03

Availability shown, not implied

A simple 'next available' card turns a vague promise into something concrete, which is what makes someone choose you over the next result.

04

Deep navy for trust, blue for action

One accent colour, used only on things you can click. Nothing competes with the call-to-action.

What a build like this includes

  • Tap-to-call bar on mobile
  • Quote request form
  • Service pages for boilers, bathrooms and emergencies
  • Postcode coverage checker
  • Local SEO for each area served
